Fein Multimaster, How to Fix?

I've got an aging Fein Multimaster.....the greatest tool EVER! I LOVE this tool!

Sadly, after years of faithful service it stopped oscillating as it should, took it apart and the fork is broken at the cam bearing. I've ordered the part from ereplacementparts.com but cannot figure out how to remove the old fork!

Has Anyone made this repair and can shed some light on the process? I don't want to just start forcing things apart and ruin the whole unit. I suspect a press fit but am unsure of that suspicion.
I am hopeful that once I have the part in hand it will become obvious what I should do.

I replaced mine, it is a press fit, was a PITA to replace as I don't have a press. Look at the diagrams closely, disassemble as much as possible, then go to town. I used a drift and a BFH for the "press work".

BTW, I'm pretty sure I contributed to the demise of my fork by not using a backup wrench when I installed blades on the tool. I always use a wrench now as the $70+ part gets some respect now.

Hmmmmm back up wrench? Never considered using one but your cause of failure theory totally makes sense now that I see the mechanism design.

It helps knowing how something is made to prolong its service life.

Dear Forum Members,

Looking for the step by step details on how to replace the folk in a Fein Multimaster tool. I removed the four screws holding the head / armature assembly to the body of the tool but don't see any obvious screws to disassemble further in order to replace the folk (which I believe is defective since the motor works but the blade no longer oscillates. Any details or link which describes this repair would be greatly appreciated. I hesitate to order this expensive part until I am certain that it is defective and that I can complete the repair.

Because I need help with a Fein MSx 636-1 that I picked up.
There is a roll pin in the head, but I can't tell what it's holding in or out.
