Fein Slugger vs Evolution S380CPS 15” Chop Saw

Looking to get either the Fein Slugger or the Evolution S380CPS. Haven’t read much about this newer evolution saw on here. Which should I buy? Price isn’t much different between them ($500 vs $430).

Fein is one of the better saws on the market, the older version of the Evo is excellent as well.

All things equal, I would go Fein. But if you can get your hands on the Evo at a great price its definitely worth checking out.

I have the identical Morse version of the Fein. Solid cast base. I looked at the Evo, and others, and the common complaints were the base

I have the Fein. It was one of my tools that I figured I’d have for a long time, so I dropped the coin. Man, if I can cut anything with it, I will. The fence is solid, and all cuts have a mirror finish. Good choice.
