Got these at Costco in Oak Brook, IL for $2.99. That is $12 off. Not sure how good they are but for $1 a bulb I'm willing to give it a go.

If the specs are accurate it actually has a very good CRI (Color Rendering Index) that is approaching halogen quality which is very unusual for a LED or even fluorescent light bulb.

That price is excellent, people need to jump on this.

Just remember it's not for the shop or kitchen but more for bedrooms, dining rooms and living rooms because of the warm color (2,700k).

I've installed around 100 of those bulbs in the past 3 or 4 years. They are excellent, not one has gone bad and the light output side by side was more than the 100w incandescents some of them replaced.
4 years ago I was replacing 6-10 incandescent bulbs a week (50 bulbs total). Many of these also were set on a system that flashes them on and off at varying speeds for 4-16 hours a day. Not one has gone bad yet.

Still $12.99 at my Costco, but I've picked up a dozen or so over the last few years and they are great bulbs.

$6.99 up in Oregon. These things are often subsidized by local governments as part of energy efficiency initiatives so prices will vary. $12.99 is still a good deal for these bulbs, especially considering their high CRI. Any further discount is simply icing on the cake.

I have been slowly replacing all the bulbs in my house with these. They are great bulbs and I always buy extras when they put them down to these cheap prices. I just picked up 2 more pack this weekend too!!

I bought several packs of the 60W's from the Mettawa IL and Lake Zurich Costco's at $2.99. The 100W bulbs cost significantly more but are still hugely discounted.

Not as bright as the CFL's they replaced but they come up to full brightness right away so they're great for my basement and garage. I even put them in the GDO. Perhaps they'll handle the vibration better than CFL or incandescent bulbs.

If they're $2.99 at my local Costco, I'll purchase 10 packs. Just need to wait for my wife to arrive home from work so she can pay for them:thumbup:

The 40w were on sale in Denver (Arvada). ~$12 iirc?

Anyways, I dont really like them. Pretty yellow for a LED and rated at 40w equivalent not very bright.

I much prefer these 60w versions, better color and brighter.
