I'm not sure this is the right area but here goes...
So I finally got around to installing my MaxJax lift after it sitting around since the original group purchase!!! Anyway, I'm finally able to start doing all the work I've got planned for the Nova. That means it's going to become a rolling chassis at best for extended periods of time. As you can imagine, the lift and car occupy the whole garage. The challenge is that I'll need the lift and the space for maintenance/repairs on other cars.
Does anybody have any experiences they can share with moving a project in and out of the garage with a pretty steep driveway? I thought about anchoring a winch of sufficient capacity to the floor to roll the Nova in and out with as needed. Alternately, I thought about getting a winch for my pickup and anchoring a ****** block to the lift columns with a length of angle iron or cable at the bases to get the car in and out.
The driveway is about 30 feet long, and rises about 4 feet from the street.
I'll post a picture when I get home, to give you a better idea.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
