So this Felo Impact 19 SQ Bit Set in Box - PH/SQ/TX arrived today.

The first thing that I did was grab the tiny T10 and I tried to put it into the "Felo Impact Bit Holder". So brand new out of the box I could not shove that little bit into the bit holder. I could NOT get that thing into the bit holder. If I want that to go in, I think that I will need to grab some pliers and jam it in.

So then I grabbed the T30 and it was difficult but I was able to shove it in. The left should be in as far as the one on the right, but that thing is TIGHT!

I wanted the set so that I would have this nice compact set in case I wanted to just grab an impact set and go.

I have found numerous things that accept bits that are very difficult to stick a bit into the holder. I understand that it will hold better, but this is just nuts. So is it me? Is this expected? Anyone else have this specific bit holder? I think that this has a clip in the holder. Not really happy with the bit holder, but I guess it will hold if i can get the bit in and out. Guess I just need some pliers.

So the final outcome...

I sent an email to KC tools and they pulled a couple examples and checked them and said that they are all tight. Which means this is not an anomaly, this is by intention.

They use a clip to retain and clips are often tight.

If need to push something smaller in that I can't do it with my fingers I can surely get it in by then. Pressing again say like a board or something. And I would choose wood over, say brick or stone so I don't damage the tip. And if it's small enough I can't pull it out. I'll just grab some pliers.

So that's said, the bits are all nice and they are shaped in a way that if you can get it in by pressing you don't have to grab on to the tip and worry about damaging it to pull it out with pliers because the bit sticks out sufficiently far that you can grab on to the base. This might not be the case with a standard 1 in insert bit, but I haven't tried those. I've only tried the bits that came with this kit.

The kit is nice. I bought this kit specifically so I would have a small pre-made kit that is impact bits. And yes I have vessel bits that are impact bits but I like the form factor of this...

And when I ordered this kit I ordered few other bits such as impact pozi...

Some of my snap-on ratcheting screwdrivers have felo Bits included with them. I don't actually know if that's because the seller substituted something else or if that's how they came from snap-on, but I didn't expect that. And I thought the bits were okay so I decided to buy a few more bits. Something to keep in mind if you have an order out with KC tool and you're think hey, I just want to add a few more things in this is a good choice to add... Do not, however, that the part numbers that they have in their system are different than the part numbers. You will see if you're actually looking at a felo catalog. And yes, this is common.

So thank you KC tool for so quickly figuring that out for me...
