Felo Wood handle screwdriver

Just wondering if anyone has this set and how is the blade holding up on this screwdriver comparing to the Vessel Japanese screwdriver

I’ve got a set and they are really nice. I use them in the wood working section of the shop so they don’t see any grease or overly harsh environment.

I just got these a few months ago when the 5pc were $20 on Amazon. Wasn’t expecting much and was intended for around the house but yeah they’re pretty decent. The tips are just painted black so they scratched off the first few times but fitment is good and handles are comfortable.

Exactly the same here, nice set. I bought the larger Phillips to add to it.

The tips are not nearly as nice as my Felo 550's (a much nicer screwdriver), the quality is not the same, the tips are black paint, not black chrome but for $20 they would be extremely hard to beat and seriously, you can beat on these with the through tang. I ended up giving these to a friend for a house warming gift.

For me, I prefer my Vessel 700 screwdrivers for everyday use, they have a similar tip finish even though they don't have a thru tang but they work great and happy with them.
The wood Felo's are still nice and practical; plus they've have a nice classic look and feel to them. They're much better drivers than most out there especially compared to the ones you see at big box stores but I will still use my Vessel's and Felo 550's.

I've been beating the snot out of mine for about 2 years, no splintering on the handles and the tips have held up well to my abuse. Once the varnish has worn off, the handles generally don't stay very clean haha.

for some reason I love gripping wood handle on a screw driver and also was testing the fitting of the Philips PH2 blade yesterday against a Vessel, the blade on the Vessels fits tight and snug on the cross slot, no play at all, while the Felo has a small amount of play, I like the length, grip and thinner shaft size of the Felo and it can go into smaller hole when opening small alliances, but the Vessel has a tighter fit on a screw.

They definitely don’t have the tip hardness or shape of Wiha, for instance. I pick and choose when to use them. Nevertheless they’re great for the price.

They’ve been my go to in PH and PZ for a while now. My only Vessel is a PH2 Impacta, but I also have standard size PH2 drivers from Witte (own brand VDE and Stahlwille Drall 3K), Wiha (VDE), and Oplast (Hazet striking cap) but the Felo woodie is the one I always grab unless the fastener is really stuck. The flat-sided Stahlwille seems to transfer breaking torque better but is less comfortable to use.

I bought my original 5pc set quite a while ago at the German “high end lifestyle” emporium Manufactum. I don’t know if they reflect current production.

I have the Felo wood handle. They look and feel great. However, they are low quality and don't work well. The Phillips drivers don't have any "bite", and like to strip screw heads. It happened to me at least 3 times, and for not so tight screws (home appliance screws with no rust). After Felo striped those screws, Craftsman/Snap On/Vessel, and even no-name Chinese driver bits can take off the screws with no issues. I think it's the soft metal and the shape of the tips that caused the problem. To me, Felo is garbage, only "made in Germany" makes people think they are great.

For Phillips heads, Vessel is great.
