Fencing off the shop from cattle

I just had a new metal building built with tin walls. I have been planning on having a fence built to keep the cows out and from damaging the siding. Is this necessary?

They WILL rub against the building, it's just their nature. You will have dented tin, especially the corners, if you don't fence it off. Plus who wants cow **** right out the door?

I'd fence off a 50' footprint around any wall where the cattle can get to your building.
