Fender covers, what do you recommend?

Have you considered buying a nice, plush moving blanket or something similar? They are much more comfortable to lean on and can be tossed in the wash when they get dirty. Since most cars are all plastic these days anyways, magnets don't really matter in most cases. I think I remember reading about someone using bath mats as fender covers too..

I have a vinyl snap on fender cover and it works well enough. The safest bet for me is to make sure to take off my belt so the buckle doesn't dig in.

Biggest problem with fender covers is when the back-side gets dirty or retains metal shavings. Good-bye paint.

Select fender covers that WON'T retain metal shavings, and can be cleaned of oil, grease, grit, etc. easily enough.

I almost bought a used Snap On one on Kijiji the other day. But I didn't and will eventually buy a Fender Grippper, saw them at the car show earlier this month and really liked them.

Already have 4 PM's. I'll take 6 more requests for fender covers before I forward this to my shipping Dept.

And obviously to the OP, if you want one.

Edit:

At 10 now. Sorry if you missed it, I'll send out to the addresses I got.

No need to confirm with me as long as you provided an address it will be sent out. You may get an Astro, may get an ONYX.

Retired beach towels, and fitted bed sheets for me. I use some big binder paper clips to hold them on. The old fender covers I have are so gross I wouldn't want lean on them for fear of getting scuzzy. The towels and sheets were gonna get tossed anyway,so I call it recycling..

I use retired bath towels. I cna throw them away when they get too dirty as they've already served one purpose well enough-AND, I sell fender covers!

That's for those vehicles for which I don't have the factory fender covers like the dealers use.

Avoid the magnetic ones as they hold everything and do more damage.

Bath mats with soft rubber on one side and plush carpet on the other. Super flexible so they conform to the curves. Maybe not trick, but effective!

I use a clean cotton towel held on with a couple magnetic screw holder cups in my garage at home. It protects against scratches to the paint, gives me cups for loose bolts, and gives me a place to wipe my hands if needed.
