Old thread, but since I'm not the one resurrecting - these aren't really all that uncommon.

I've got a pair of Ford Racing fender covers I bought off Amazon a few years ago, and there's a ton of them on eBay.

Bring up an old thread, I was wondering if anyone has experience with Netcore Enterprises fender covers.

They are expensive but look like they hold to the car very well. In the past I have been using large microfiber towels or bath towels and then put a rubber cover over the towel. I found doubling up the fender cover like this keeps the grease off the towels.

Yes. I love them. The plastic outer layer keeps the liner clean, the hooks and magnets keep them in place, they work perfect. Mine are 15 years old now and get used daily.

I also buy fleece blankets when they are on sale.

I have one of these for my Mustang, it works great, stays in place and covers all the way to the base of the windshield. I'm sure a section of the material could be purchased and one could fairly easily make one for any car they chose.

Of all the fender covers and seat covers i have used the best has been
http://www.albertacom.com/members/clintcrick/NEIDW08apr13/index.htm

removable washable back, magnetic strips and hooks to hold them in place. Different sizes for huge or very small fenders. The seat covers are fantastic By far the best i think i will ever use.

The owner Clint Crick travels around the country selling to shops. he stopped by and we were sold. He has links to alot of videos and was on Leno's garage a long time back.

these look pretty good. No idea what size to get though.

I got a free set from summit with my order a couple of years ago.

Were the standard kind, couldn't keep them on hardly anything anymore, the way they pack engine bays now they are pretty much flat on the inside and the covers kept sliding off.

Once the back gets grit of any kind on it they are worse than no cover, so I gave up on them.

Plus there really aren't many cars with a 'fender' to speak of anymore, and what they do have you don't dare lean on or it will bend/buckle.

The yoga mats look like they might stay on a little better.

Here's a blast from the past. It's 24" x 40" and if you look at the hems it was made for the early thin fendered vehicles. I'm not sure of the age I just picked it up at the swap meet last year.

You can see 2 types of material on the backside. Where heavier contact is made with the car it's padded heavier in that area as well different material. On average it's 3/8" thick. The white side is what hangs down by the wheel well.
