Anyone know how to open a Snapon 2000 box with the 5 push buttons . I inherited the box with no combination. Snapon says drill out the old one and buy a new one. $325 each

Are the buttons 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and no repeats? My math is usually not that great, but I bet it's not more than about 130 combinations. Start pushing buttons and taking notes...

We had a lock on the guardhouse door at the factory where I worked, that had 5 buttons, not marked. They were vertical, and the combo was to push 2 & 4 at the same time, then 3 by itself. The lock eventually wore out, and they replaced it with the same brand, same combo. Found out later that that combo was the default from the factory, and our guys never changed it. Try that.

Our Cornwell dealer refuses to sell any of the newer boxes like that until they come out with a default way to unlock the box just for that reason

Unless someone cleaned the box well, you can probably tell which buttons have greasy fingerprints and wear on them and which ones were not used. It won't solve the problem, but at least will reduce the number of possible combinations.
