Bought the entry level Festool vac. Almost bought the fein turbo II as it speced better. Then I read this : https://www.toolboxbuzz.com/head-to-head/best-dust-extractors-head-to-head/. I don’t need all the fancy bells and whistles. The ct 15 has the same power as the more expensive units. I does have a crappier hose though. It vacuumed up husky hair. Husky hair is very hard to vacuum from car. My WAP aero 840a draws 8 Amps and the festool 9.5. I have a tool that inserts between plug and outlet and measures watts/ amps. I think it does well with the husky hair cause the hose is slightly smaller/ faster airflow. Plus it’s a dust extractor specializing in picking up light debris.

Congrats. I have two Midi’s and a CT15. The only difference is the CT15 is a bit noisier so it lives under my miter station and the new MIDI has Bluetooth, which I never thought I needed, but gotta say for general cleaning around the shop it’s super nice to be able to switch it on and off at the nozzle.

I've been interested in the CT 15 for a while, so your comments are useful, @toolaholic. But I gotta say those images of the husky-hair are underwhelming. The "after" photo seems to show a lot of hair still in the carpet. Is that about what you'd expect others to get from using the Festool vac?
