My PDC is still going strong, so no desire to replace it yet.... The new TPC sure looks a lot like a FEIN....So I wouldn't be surprised if they where the same Mfg just as they did with the vecturo.

I also own the TID 18 ad the CXS... what would get me excited is a CXS sized impact.

Got a PDC and out of couriosity a TPC and yes the new gear shifter is miles better, the automatic light is nice and the kickback control too but apart from that, no need to upgrade. As a remark, the gearbox has different ratios but no gain for me yet.
The torque selector wheel position really ***** as I dialed it several times accidentally with my wrist.
How it lasts, time will tell, I got a early model and had strange noises from the gears one or two times but no issues yet.

maybe wait for the new gen Fein with Bosch batteries.

Buying a Festool drill when you have super drills readily available from Milwaukee, Makita and DeWalt puzzles me. Paying up for a Domino, which is a unique tool, is understandable but paying three times as much for probably less than I can get from the big three makes no sense to me. For example, the new Bosch dual action sander (GET75-6N) is superior to the Rotex (I have both), so why pay Festool prices for less tool.

Its easy, if you want a drill with proper speed range >2500rpm the available range is quite small. The above mentioned models can be used in a drill guide/stand wich is also rather unique. The centrotec system was a factor but not anymore due to similar systems available.
For general service, there is obviously plenty of choice for less money.

Festools best feature across the board is the Cash Collection system, nobody does it better.
