How could you pass up a $.50 vintage usa made wrench? I couldn't, there's a billings, bonney, and 2 williams lathe wrenches :bounce: all for $2.00.

Nice, but at .50 cent each, your grand total should have been two cents, not two dollars.

It's a wonderful deal on some fine tools. Especially if you plan on standing over a lathe all day but considering that rocker style tool posts are basically obsolete you may not find a lot of use for them. Still nice.

the billings is 7/16 - 1/2, bonney is 11/16, and the williams are 3/8 - 1/2, 1/4 - 5/16.

fletch don't worry about it. The whole bunch is like little kids giggleing.. Give them a few hours and they will be off on the amusement of the moment.

Most of them have probably done as bad if not worse. That's why they are having so much fun with it.

Those 50 cent wrenches typically aren't in the best of shape but many times they can be cleaned up.

I have a few wrenches like these. Care to share your cleaning methods? Wet scotch brite or sandpaper?

yeas rockers are getting run out fast but alot of dogs and lathe carriage stops still use the square.... especially if you can get your hands on the nice ones

It's the result of Elroy's finesse in working with the wire wheel.

Although he DID use a wheel during part of the process, there was much more to it than that, including a file, sandpaper, water, and Bar Keeper's Friend!

Got a little paint on and we're looking good. Some semi-flat would have been a better choice but the gloss is fine.

Elroy worked the logo end but the stamping is starting to get thin. That rust is very damaging and really eats into the surface

Sure there was some wire brush action here but it was at the front end of the clean up. This is die grinder action with some 120 paper followed by a scotchbrite pad
