File Cabinets for hardware storage?

I thought I had found some pretty good posts in the past, where people were using file cabinets with small square bins inside (not the hanging type) to store bolts, nuts, washers, and all sorts of hardware. When I did a search I couldn't find it again.

Anyone using file cabinets for their hardware storage? Where do you get smaller organizing "boxes" for the inside of drawers and how do you have them laid out.

For mine, I just cut the bottoms off of plastic juice containers. I set my table saw fence to 4" and run them through. I even like the juice!

I have seen oil jugs and antifreeze jugs cut down to fit..

Thats what my Grandpa did. 4 drawer wooden one, he had a variety of hardware and tools that didnt seem to fit anywhere else.

I have a couple and they have metal dividers in them. They have worked well for me and I have them loaded to the max. I wish I had more of them.

Dollar tree has 3 plastic containers for $1.00 that work pretty well.

Most dollar stores have cheap containers that work well for screws/bolts/hardware.
