Fill cut lines before or after acid staining / polyurea application?

So what is the concensus?

Is it best to apply the acid stain and polyurea coating first, then mask and fill the relief cuts?

Or is it better to fill the cuts first, then apply the coatings?


I plan on using a self-leveling sealant like Sika SL or Extreme set 100. Will either of these "take" stain or will they stand out visually no matter which way I go?

They will not take stain.
However, XtremeSet100 comes in some attractive colors.

I filled the joints after acid staining. I used 1/4" Screen moulding , in the joint ,to help get a straight tape line [ made it easy ] Polyurea afterward, sealed the edge of the Sika Flex

Always fill after, as Legacy is correct the fillers won’t take the stain.
