Fill expansion joint between concrete slab and walls

1. Do you recommend Sika Crack Flex Sealant or Sonolastic NP 1?

2. Is the poly foam chauk saver sold at HD closed cell or open cell? Does it make a different to go with a closed cell backer rod if I want to keep moisture out of my garage?

I used Sika concrete fix in the saw cuts of my garage floor. I'd recommend, if you want it to look nice to tape the edges before filling and running your finger down it to make it nice & smooth.
