Filling Control joints prior to Applying TS210

Has anyone filled control joints prior to using concrete sealers USA ts210?

I’m trying to figure out the best product to use.

That one little chip in the intersection is going to also drive me crazy if I don’t do something about it.

Patch that area using a quality polymer-modified concrete repair patch. Stuff it into the joints surrounding it and trowel it smooth. Clean off any repair patch that is on the surface of the other three corners. Once it has set up for a few hours or so, you can come back with a circular saw and masonry blade the same thickness as the joint and recut / cleanout the joints. If done well, the only noticeable difference will be a slight color and texture difference of the repaired corner.

Assuming you want to fill the joint with a self-leveling polyurethane sealant (Sikafex for example), it's best to seal the joints after the coating is applied. Some like to tape of the edges to get a real clean look.

That was probably cut with a blade thicker than he'll find for a circular saw. How about he puts some thin wood strips intersecting at the center and just fill in the chipped area with the modified polymer concrete? Saves him the sawing and the dust.

Thanks guys. I like the idea of throwing in wood or something to act as a form so I don’t have to make a cut.

What’s a good concrete patch product that’s easily available at the big box stores or Amazon? I have a container of quickCrete vinyl patch but I hear the color is way darker than the usual concrete.
