Filling if cmu’s

What do y’all think is a good wait time for filling cmu’s after setting the row?

Building a shed with a concrete pad and one row of CMU for the curb. How long should I wait until I fill the cinderblock? A day ? A week? Or does it really matter as long as I don’t move the block while I fill it.

no need to wait, IMO . I would probably wait a half hr or so, so the mortar sets a tad, then go for it

I’ve always seen brick masons fill the cores as they go. I don’t see any reason to wait.

Typically - masons build out sections Usually specked out in the engineered plans. But around 8 or 9 courses high (5 to 6 ft tall ) then they get an building inspection for Steel placement vertical drops and horizontal steel

then they grout

they try to get a full truck for the grout, So many 8x8x16 block is a yard of concrete ( I forget the count )

smaller jobs they can mix on site and grout same day or next day after laying block.

we will lay in morning and blockfill in that after noon, just pour it wet, its suppose to be wet to fill the voids

Well now then, or is it than?

you do every fourth, each side of window and door and three in corners
