filling in a hole

my mother in law has a sun porch with a hot tube built in the floor. the room is about 12x15 and the tub is 8x8. What would be the best way to fill the hole and top it off with concrete to make it to match the slab. The hole is 10x8x3ft deep.

Pack with clay and tamp it down. Pour slab to grade on top like you would any slab.

Fill with gravel, class II or CMB and compact. Clay WILL expand and probably lift the new slab. Then pour the slab, dowel into existing if you want to make sure the slab doesn't move vertically from the original.
