Filling in concrete holes or chips

I diamond grinded the garage floor and found these holes that are about 8 mm deep. I have this Dap floor patch and wanted to know if the epoxy will have a problem sticking to it. If not, what would you guys recommend. Thanks

I dont know what Dap is but i use a patch called water plug it serves me well in all apps. I do quality control and patch work for a precast plant and i use the stuff 30 times a day.

I use "SL" self leveler. it comes in tubes like liquid nail. most hardware stores carry it. And I have epoxy-ed over it with no issues

...and as soon as anything hard or heavy hits it, it will pop right out...

I haven't tried to paint over it, but I really like the Quickcrete concrete patch that comes in a bucket just like that one. That stuff sticks REALLY well. The Dap stuff is probably similar.

The Spall FX is what I use and it holds up to daily forklift traffic. I do not know if it will take paint as I never painted it.

Paint the damaged area with an acrylic bonding agent, mix your Quikcrete or similar product with the same acrylic liquid then apply and level.

Many of the current "patch" products already have some type of bonding agent in them. I think the quickcrete stuff I had was called "vinyl concrete patch", but it has the same appearance as normal concrete.

I filled a big crater in a floor with this stuff and after it dried I tried to scrape off some extra I got around the hole. It took a freakin' air chisel and I never even cleaned the area. Normal concrete would have just wiped right off.

Sorry to dig this up...

But I just purchased my first home and was planning on using the epoxy-coat kit I bought today...only to find out there are some chips in the concrete in the garage.

Any new suggestions since this thread is almost a year old?
Just head to the 'depot and get some concrete repair stuff and the epoxy should stick?


Also, from what I've read on here, clean the garage with muriatic acid so the concrete is clean and bond...I'm assuming I should do that before the chip filling?
