Filling in Strike joints for VCT?

I am about to put down Armstrong VCT in my garage but was wondering if I need to fill in the strike joints in the slab before I lay it down. I was planning on bridging the gaps with vct so that the strike joint would be right in the middle but I was worried about it getting depressed when rolled over. What has everyone done with their strike joints?

I would think that the joints would "telegraph" through the tile and be quite noticeable after a while .

I'd fill it with Rustoleum Epoxy Shield Concrete Patch and Repair.
From their website:www.rustoleum.com

Heavy duty 2-part epoxy is stronger than concrete.

* Heavy-duty formula permanently bonds concrete
* 100% solids epoxy won't shrink or crack
* Fast curing, paintable in 8 hours
* Use for patching cracks and holes in concrete and masonry
* Easy mixing, low odor, no solvents
* Conventional cementitious & vinyl patches must cure for 28 days prior to painting

You have to fill the joints before you put the VCT down. In addition to the joints telegraphing through, normal loading (walking, rolling stuff over the joints, etc.) will eventually cause the VCT to crack along each joint.

Armstrong makes a fast-curing cement based patch that should be available where you're buying the VCT.
