I have 24mm, 27mm, and 30mm combination and deep impact sockets.
Anything in between those worth obtaining ? (non-tool polisher, DIYer)

Nothing in the ISO, DIN, nor JIS standards.
I have from 6-32 except for 31… but you can wait to get 25, 26, 28 and 29 when you find them cheap cheap… like way cheaper than you would pay Harbor Freight.Nothing in the ISO, DIN, nor JIS standards.

I remember using a 29 once. I wouldn't bother looking for any until you have a need, I almost never use those sizes.

Sockets are cheap. Good to have them all. They double as bearing/bushing/seal drivers too.

Some GM axle nuts 30mm. But that's a specific case, specific job... And you've got that. I've seen plenty of 32 and 36mm axle nuts, and even larger depending on what you're wrenching on.
So without digressing much further from 24, 27, and 30... It's rare that you run into in betweens from the 24-30mm range. I don't know the various industrial standards, just that I haven't run into many 25, 26, 28 or 29mm fastener heads... And I would not buy into those sizes unless a job requires it.

Yes, if the price is right. At a certain point the metric and sae wrenches in the larger sizes are close enough together, that the other could get you by. I started with larger SAE as I found them inexpensively, at a damaged freight store (no brand doesn't match, but bought for relatives farm with old SAE equipment). I think I am up to 1 5/8" in those.
Then while I was working at the garage, I found a Blackhawk USA metric wrench set that went from 6 to either 30 or 32 (cancer, away from the house currently). It was only missing the 8mm which I found a couple years later and it was a heck of a price. It did have a 25mm, which I have used (a compensator for one of my firearms is that size to screw on), but that is the only time I have used that size. It's been a long time since I bought this set (20ish + years ago) and I believe I gave $90 for the set, and then $10 for the 8mm in the correct finish. I figured at that price, and the occasional use where you need two of the same size wrenches, plus they are my hang for handiwork, metric wrenches (things around the house, quick fixes etc), while I have my more commonly used and my Wrightgrip wrenches for more stubborn things, in the toolbox.

This really just seem like “if you own it buy it” kind of tools though.
I own a set of axle nut sockets and added a 12pt 30mm.30mm 12 point if you own/work on a Toyota FWD.

My axle nut sockets, other than the 12pt 30mm, are from Harbor Freight. They paid for themselves on the first hub that I had to change. They are a rarely used tool… so I wish that I had not thrown away the plastic case.
In my opinion, they are worth having. Changing out a hub is a job that the vast majority of GJ members can easily do themselves.
