Filling Saw Cut Control Joints

Love that I had my garage floor saw cut for control joints vs. troweled, but one complaint is the edges of saw cuts chipping from stuff getting rolled over them like metal casters, etc. I tried a tube of SikaFlex from Lowes, but with only a 1/4" width, I couldn't get the tip deep enough to fill it. I thought the joint filled, but slowly over an hour, it sank into the valley. I didn't do the entire floor, just a test joint of 15' or so. Is there something else out there maybe in a fluid state that could be poured into the joints? Would heat make the SikaFlex more flexible?

Sika or other products that are similar will offer no protection from chips.
The filler needs to be hard enough to resist steel wheels and that is an epoxy or polyurea product.

The edges are the weak link and should be "v-grooved" for maximum protection.

If you want to use a flexible filler you need to install a foam backer rod first. 100' roll on Amazon is about $8.

We offer an a Epoxy Putty that is harder and stronger than concrete and can be applied to the joints and once cured grinded smooth. You will need foam backer rod as noted above or sand in the joints (leave about 3/8" depth) to support the product so it won't sink in.

Metzger McGuire makes many fillers specifically for protecting joint edges in warehouses from hard forklift and cart wheels -

These go in like syrup but harden very fast from a mix tube.
