County finally signed off on everything today. It’s a 24x30. My new age pro cabinets also arrived today. Waiting to hear back from the spray foam installer on when they can come out. After that I’ll be able to get everything moved in and set up. Super excited. I have a lot of woodworking projects planned already. I have more pics but I’ll probably do a thread in the garage gallery for those. Don’t worry the house will be painted to match the garage this spring.

Feels great to get that sign on the final! Now that department can go "help" other people ;)

What kind of heat source do you have (or have planned?)

It’s electric. A fahrenheat heater. I wanted to do gas but the gas company would only run a new line from the street for about $5k. I had the electricians hook up the heater when they were out. I’ll only be running it when I’m out there working.

Why spray foam insulation? Looks like you have 16” studs. Be cheaper and more R value to use the rolled insulation.

Spray foam is roughly r7 per inch, so you can get r24 in 2x4 walls or r40 in 2x6. Compared to r-13/15 and r-19/21 for fiberglass. So spray foam is roughly double, plus the extra air sealing really helps efficiency
