My local HD has two Husky torque wrenches left of the USA variety...and I know that when they're gone...they're gone.

Are they worth buying? Not that great? Thoughts?

I bought the 1/2" drive one a little over a year ago, and it's nice. I've used it quite a bit, and it's been fine. Too bad they moved production of the 3/8" and 1/2" torque wrenches overseas.

Says it on the front of the package. I have both and only have used them a couple times. They are identical to Gearwrench and Matco of the same specs. It's well worth the price.

I've had a 3/8" and a 1/2" Husky torque wrench for about 30 years. They've been fine. I'd buy them again.

I don't believe that the "new" USA ones are the same as the old USA ones.

They're rebranded Armstrongs. I ran across one in a local store that got a Armstrong drive head, with a Husky handle. I took a picture of it but I guess I've deleted it.

Ok so I went and bought the 1/2"...and then not having the 3/8" started to bug me so I went back and bought it too.

Question: I notice that they have listed minimum torque values...but appear to have markings that indicate lower values...what am I missing?

I have the 1/2 and the 3/8 and am pretty disappointed. It's pretty crudely put together. I thought it might be better than my Husky Pro which is a rebranded Chinese Stanley, I think.

It hasn't broken and has worked the few times I've used it though.

Well that's discouraging. I know I won't spend over 200 on a torque wrench, as I don't use one that often, and I saw this as kind of an entry level "good" tool.

If these aren't worth the money...the HF cheapies will have to do (considering they have decent reviews). It's a big jump from $10 to $250...

Same as the US made Gearwrench, Armstrong, Matco, etc... Now Home Depot is going back to the Chinese made ones.

I saw Made in the USA, and I assumed it was going to be a fine tool. It's worked so far, but looks like something North Korea would make.

I bought the Gearwrench branded version a year ago and have been MORE than happy with it. At the price, who wouldn't be even for occasional use?

I would get it if it says USA. I have 2 25 year old Snap Ons, one a 3/8" and the other 1/2" drive. I guess it's time to re-calibrate them?
