Finally 3 car garage project started!!

Ive had this planned for years, finally "manned up" and pulled the trigger!!
Will be a 24x32, stick built a/ 3 dormers and 6" slab.

OK - Backfill complete. I ran the conduit as well as set the LB connections into the house. Many may disagree but I like the way they look.

I went through the foundation with 90 degree sweeps so all the service connections come through right next to the block.

Looks great. Nice conduit run, hopefully you planned on expansion and left one of the runs empty. If not make sure you run a pull string with the wire to help pull more in later.

Great looking project. Are the slab support piers typical in your area? I've never seen that detail before. I assume you get as much compaction as you can in the backfill but I would have thought differential movement and point loads would be a potential source of cracking. Looks like you know what you are doing so I'm probably off base.

Right now, I plan on running a 100 amp electric panel sourced from the house and gas to fuel an overhead heater.

I have a real strong wifi signal from the house, so in theory the other 2 are extras.

There's no extras, the third one is for cable TV and the fourth is for water.




Put a drain in for the sink before you backfill. Well maybe not, I don't think that line will be below the frost line.

Just got home after being completely stranded overseas by Continental airlines for nearly 4 days beyond the 10 days we were already away

I found this, at least something is looking up.

And yes, the garage door to the left a big larger in case I want to put a 4 post lift in.

You won't be running gas through that shallow buried plastic electrical conduit.

Plan on digging in a proper gas line with the associated risers etc.
