Canadian Tire has a sale on a 2 pce box set - and even tho the top is a "throw away", the bottom is decent and the price is very good. I have NEVER seen a roller come close to the price HF in the US sells them for (or any other tools for that matter!) but this is close. Getting it for Fathers day - maybe 2! $129.00 makes for a well-prices set of drawers.

It's in this flyer (couldn't paste the exact page..)

I was not impressed with the CT roll cabs at all when I saw them :(

My home depo flyer has a well priced canadian made Huskey rebranded international roll cab for sale around the same price.

I bought a couple of them the last time they were half price. I left the rollers off and leave them on top of my work bench to hold taps and dies, and drill bits. They don't hold much more than that. Not really useful to me as a roller when the bottom is only 13"x24"x 30" high including the wheels.

hmmm - so maybe not as good as I thought eh? You got link to the HD flyer?

The top is really small and the drawers don't pull out very far. It's OK, but not a "real" box.

Edit - saw the HD flyer - changing my mind now!!! Still - rarely see a price THIS good for THIS good of a box!!:lol_hitti

Thanks Arkangel for telling me about the HD one!!

If you buy either one can you do a review for the rest of us . . . This will be the closest thing to a HF box for a review we will see on this side of the pond . . .

Saw the tool box the other day . . . Pass, it is not even close to being practical . . . If you just need something little made like a tin can, then go ahead . . . If the kids need one, then that too is a practical gift . . .

As a primary box, not even close it is so small and short I thought it was a toy box . . . Everything about that box felt cheap . . . I didn't know you could screw up a slider on a drawer but, yes you can!

The extra cash spent at HD for that other box might be well worth it . . . I am going to check it out later . . .

I have a CT Pro series Euro style roller and love it. I have had it for 4 years now without a problem. This one has been from the garage to the ice race track (snow, ice and salt as I roleld it outside the trailer) and the dirt track. Everything works great and I bought it when it went to 65% off.

I bought the blue Mastercraft box from CT a couple of years ago and it's much sturdier that the red one originally posted. As already mentioned the red one is very flimsy.

That said, I bought and returned 3 boxes before I found one that wasn't badly damaged right out of the packaging and the rubber mat on the top smelled so bad that I had to toss it.

Mastercraft boxes have really gone to **** the last few years. They're like tin cans nowadays. The quality is not there anymore.Sad to see them go from being bullet proof boxes made by Beach to the tin cans they are now.My guess is they'll be dropping the lifetime warranty any day now.

cheaper the product the larger the profit margin, the easier to warranty.

i dont know about HF, but our equivalent princess auto, doesnt even need a receipt or logo the stuff is so cheap, bring them something that looks like the product and get CASH.

it got me through school returning pullers and such i had once purchased.

If that's your impression, then it's definitely not worth it no matter how little it costs. Nothing worse than a cheapass toolbox! :shocking:
