*my* shop was built originally as a small powdercoating shop. However, ever since my daughter was born, it remained idle. I still work fulltime so balancing work, husband, and father times can be a bit challenging.

My dad (father in law) recently passed away and i needed to pick up doing everything else that he was doing in the house and its a lot

I finally managed to clean up my shop. Its not 100% finished, but much better

One of my next projects is to clean up my dads shop with a lift.

For those with experience. He has a bunch of snap on and matco tools and i want to put some toolchests in his outdoor shop. Im just not sure if being exposed to the elements all the time will ruin the boxes. He does have snapon toolchests but he keeps those in his other garage as an excess storage for his not used often tools.

Nice job on the cleanup ... now the next task will be keeping it cleaned up!!

In what part of the country are you located? Folks on GJ can give better feedback to your comments and questions if we know where you are located ... add your location to your GJ profile.

I have no experience with Houston, but I suspect any location with high humidity and "4 seasons in 1 day" would take a heavy toll on outdoor tools and boxes. Generally, it's always better to keep tools and equipment in ambient conditions that are as steady as reasonably possible.
