Today is the day the concrete trucks show up to pour my floor. I can't believe this day has finally come, it has been a long hard road to get to this point and once it is done I might just take a day off.

This is what it looks like this morning I'll post back this afternoon with the results after it is covered with 25 yards of concrete.

Congrats!

Might be a little overkill on the floor. Richmond doesn't really get that cold for very long.

Jim
yeah I know but I'm getting old and heat feels awful good on a cold, damp, windy day in January. Besides my bride has been talking about making me sleep out there because I spend so much time working on it.:bounce:

I had to remove a few panels of siding to get the concrete chute in to pour the back part. Was really sweating watching all this work being done. Those guys made it look so easy for a minute I thought about jumping in to help but came to my senses before it got that far.

Minor miscalculation the last load came up 1/2 yard short and had to send the truck back to get another 1 yd min. They were cool though and didn't charge me extra just the $105.00 for the load of material. This last pic is where the load ran out after it was finished and a pic of a baby copperhead that decided to travel the same road as one that was being used by a concrete truck.:eek:wned2:

The next day I cut the lines in the floor. Boy, this really made a mess, dust everywhere. I tried sweeping it but that didn't work to well so I got out my leaf blower and blew it off and that worked better but it was messy. After that I washed the floor off with water to clean out the lines and get the rest of the fine dust off so I could apply sealer. I only had about a half a can that was left over from an earlier job so I have to go get some more to finish it out. After a couple days I can then start to fill er' up.:D
