I finally got to build a garage this past summer. It's not finished yet,but closed in for the winter. Now doing wiring and soon insulation. So thought I would post some pics of building. The concert I subed out the framing my friend and I built building is 26x32.

Thanks.
There is no attic due to the cost of buying attic trusses or none attic trusses. The price of attic trusses were more than dubble the price of none attic. So what I did for storage is. The walls are 12' foot 8" tall. On the side were there is no lift. I built a shelf 4 feet wide 4 feet down from ceiling. The full length of the garage 32 feet.

I would have built bigger, but this is what I pulled off cost wise out of pocket. Scraped all summer long on money. Sold my truck put my hot rod project on hold money and time wise to build the garage.

I picked up a not very old 9,000 lb Rotary 2 post lift. I had that before the garage. It was good deal so I grabbed it up. It's already standing up in garage. Not lagged down yet or power to garage. I use this type lift at work and they lift and work good. Dorchester NH

Well almost done with wiring. I got to run one more 220 line for welder outlet on other side of garage. I also have to finish wiring up outside outlets. Then call power company pay a fee. Have the guy come out tell me were and what type meter box I need and what ever else they want.

Welcome, garage is looking good. I lived by the Dartmouth Skiway until a couple years ago - good luck with the Nor'easter.

This weekend I finished insulating the garage. I did the walls about 3 week's ago and did the ceiling this weekend. Next I will be moving on to sheathing the inside. Then power, paint and I'm sure there are some other things. Also please excuse the mess.

This weekend I got the gable vents installed and wired up the outside lights. I also now have all the sheating for the inside walls. I plan to get the sheating done 4th of July weekend. Then it will be on to painting.

Your build looks good, I believe in paying as you go also. Always a good choice.

2x4 or 2x6 construction? Overall height? That is size I need, but would spring for the attic. for bonus room.
Building is 2x6 12 foot 8 inchs inside height. I too would have liked a attic, but the difference was alot. The trusses I have were $1,500 lowest price I got for attic trusses was $3,800.

Finally got power Wednesday last week. Also got new compressor . I got tired of looking at old rusty tank junk. Every time I looked at one seemed to have 2 to 3 inch's of rust and muck in it. I also mixed and pored the pad for my oil barrel.

Thanks! I will be putting a roll up door on next summer. I also will finish trim and painting. I only painted where something was going. That would be in the way of painting later.

Well been doing some work in the garage. Been pretty busy I have been in the process of switching jobs. I made a top for a bench I built. Made it out of a sheet of 3/4 plywood cut in half glued together. Then I had the rear floating plate of steel from a old alinement machine. The plate is 16 inch's wide by 5/16 thick and 75 1/2 inch's long bolted to top of bench. I also bought my tool box home from where I use to work.

Very nice garage build. And I like that set of three cabinets you put together on wheels. Makes for a nice mobile work surface and lots of storage.

So been doing small projects in the garage. Hung up some more peg board. Finally found 2 more 16 gallon drums. I cleaned them up and painted them. I'm also working on a stand for my drill press.

I got the drill press stand done. I also made a bracket and mounted up a hose reel. I still got to run air to it. I did some more work on the bead roller I built and made some shelf brackets for in my house.
