I've been lurking here for quite a few years. I am finally building my shop/storage barn for my 5th wheel camper and my Mopars.

Details:
It's 72'x48' building with a 15' ceiling, that will have radiant tubing in the 5" concrete floor. I will be using it to store my cars, camper, and all that misc. junk in the house garage.

I opted to build it as big as possible now, and worry about finishing out the interior as time and funds allow.

Some pictures.
Before the dirt moved.

2" hd foam goes down, then the PEX tubing, and the floor is poured. Luckily the leaves didn't start blowing until the concrete was setting up.

Got all the walls framed up as the rain came in. Roof truss's are here too. Here's a blurry picture.

Thanks for posting. I will be following your build with great interest since I'm planning a shop the same size except with 10' sidewalls. Mine will be filled with cars of the bowtie persuasion.

Cheers

Ok, got the rest of the perlins nailed on and all the walls are braced up. Should be getting the roof truss's set on with the crane today. Then we'll see how big it really is.

Outstanding build....... did you draw up the plans yourself or is this a kit? This is exactly what I would like to put up next spring. Love the 1/4 porch on the shops as it helps to tie it in to the "residential" feel.

Thanks for all the comments.

I drew the plans myself in Google Sketchup, and gave them to my builder. He then had the lumber company redraw them, so they could figure up materials. The porch is something my wife insisted on. Gives the building a more finished non-Agricultural look.

I believe the colors are called "Light Stone" on the walls and "Dark Brown" for the roof and trim. The metal is Fabral. Fabral.com

Thanks.

The contractor is pretty much done with my building. Now it's my turn, finish the interior, floor heat and electric/lighting. As Time and money allow. I started moveing all my junk in. I put my 5th wheel in there before the snow starts flying, and will start moving my tools and cars over this week.

Looks Great! I will soon be building a garage of slightly different proportion for much the same purpose, i.e. housing a camper. What are the dimensions for your 5th wheel's door? I have a bumper-pull model so I won't need the same height that you have, but the width should be the same. Also, how much room do you have between the trailer and the nearest side wall?

Thanks for sharing the pics...

The door is 12' wide 13' high. The door is six feet from the corner of the building. Room between the trailer and sidewall depends on how straight I back it in.:)
