You won't have any issues with weight (unless you want to move that thing). You may have some issues with that top warping though. If that happens just remove the doug fir on top and replace it with 3/4" MDF. Very stable and strong like bull.

Good job, that table is nice and beefy - looks like it would have no problem supporting an Ultra.

One suggestion though; At the corner joints, where 2x4s meet 4x4s, it looks they are only nailed. If so, you definitely want shore them up with carriage bolts.

if you work like I do, there will soon be enough oil soaked into the top that warping won't be an issue -- great table, Sick--

How will you roll the scoot off when you're done?

You must have got a great deal on wood. That passes every Super Duty test. Great job!

Small suggestion: How about a small 3/4 X 3/4 wool strip around the top/ It will keep all your wrenches, nuts from falling on the floor? Or not!

good deal indeed. got a costco bench free. bought 2 16 foot 2x4's. i think i only used the 4x4's and 1x2's from the original bench. the 2" thick top i got for 20 bucks. hmmm, getting the bike off? i think (hope) a ramp and a couple of friends will do the trick. i like the idea of lipping the top.
