Hello boys and girls, greetings from the great frozen north :canada:
I've been lurking on this site for over 5 years now and it has cost me a pile of money!
I've recently retired so I have had some time to flesh out the shop I built 5 years ago (I "borrowed" a ton of ideas from all you fine people) and I want to contribute to this forum as a form of payback.
I've worked in both the car repair and home renovation businesses during my working life so I'm hoping to share some of the experience I've acquired while I can still remember them:lol:

So I have accumulated a bunch of "really good stuff" over the years.
And a bunch more since I retired and discovered online auctions in the pandemic era.
I'm not entirely clear as to when I can post pics but when I'm able to, I'll share pics of some of my treasures.

Hi Shiftless, Cali is on the list of places to visit once things settle down a bit. Definitely a beautiful part of the world.:bounce:
I have an old York 150 that I've owned for 35 years and it was pretty old when I got it. :) I just gave it a little makeover this past winter. I don't have any pics but will post some tomorrow when I'm in the shop.
The older I get the more I appreciate the vintage stuff, maybe because me and everything I own is vintage?
I also have an old Paramo soaking in the varsol tank right now. It's on the project list somewhere.

Here’s a pic of my York in between a couple of baby bullets. See the resemblance? :)
I usually do all my own work but this one is an exceptional restoration done by master machinist, friend and fellow GJ member KMScott.

York 150 you say? I picked this one up a few years back, cleaned it up and lubed it and started using it.

Shiftless, those are amazing pieces of industrial art you have there.
Mike, I think I read some posts about your restore. I know I read a lot of posts about York here on GJ and that got me to tune-up mine finally.
I sent an email to York to buy new jaws and t-bar lock nuts for it. But never heard back from them. Then of course I forgot to follow up.
