Racedeck it is. I bought 450 sq ft of Tuffshield. As much as I like the free flow, I was just afraid of dropping things down in the cracks and it just becoming difficult to keep clean. I get a lot of tracked in dirt and leaves

My question- is there a garage door threshold seal that works well with Racedeck? I’d like to provide as much of a barrier as possible To keep stuff from blowing into the garage.

Looking forward to getting it installed this upcoming week!

Thank you for the response, the amazing customer service, Shauna is awesome. Discount was pretty strong too. Now if this stuff will install it self, I’ll be good to go.

Todd, I'm in Fairfield and my wife and I installed 500 sf of Free Flow about 6 1/2 years ago. Glad to help if I can. CJDave.

Thanks CJ dave! I appreciate that. We are headed out of town for a week so my wife made me promise I wouldn’t start until we got back. My design is pretty boring. All graphite but with a red square outline in the middle. It goes with the grey walls and red cabinets someone gave me.

The UPS man wasn’t too happy. He was banging on the front door like the police looking for someone to help unload, lol

I like how four tiles are already interlocked. That will speed up install even more.

For now the only pic I have is this. I really wanted royal blue, but it didn’t match anything else. I like freeflow, but won’t regret solid. You can see how many samples they have sent over the last couple years. lol

Gotcha. Shauna was most helpful with me also. I recall my RaceDeck being delivered. I heard a noise out front and went to investigate. The UPS truck was backed into my driveway within 5 feet of my garage door. I went out and helped him unload and he was most grateful but curious as to what was in the boxes. I gladly opened one and showed him the tiles. He insisted that I flag him down when the floor was done. I did and he was impressed as has everyone else that has seen it. CJDave.

It’s funny you say that , that dude was square in the middle of my driveway a couple feet from
The garage. The truck was empty once we unloaded. He was ready to go home.

That is funny. My guy asked about some shelving that I had with car parts stacked on them. The car was being restored at the time and I had the parts waiting to be called into service. Anyway, the UPS guy took the shelving when I emptied them. I had bought the shelving just for the restoration and he was very glad to get the shelving. CJDave.

What does Racedeck feel like when you walk on it ? Do the squares flex when you drive on them ? How heavy are the squares and what material are they made from ? Thanks - Mike

My Free Flow feels fine even barefooted. I don't feel like they flex under load even a floor jack. Very stable. I don't know the weight but a few ounces is my guess. I don't know the exact material but a plastic or polymer of some kind maybe? No complaints after 6 1/2 years. CJDave.

Did you coat your concrete prior to laying down the tiles? I'm looking into the FreeFlow tiles just wondering how much dirt accumulates years later? Also any issues with small screws falling under the tiles? Can they be pulled up in case a small screws fall underneath?

Todd - also from Cincy/East Side. Did you investigate any of the Epoxy/Polyurea dealers here in town? I am at a loss as Gorilla Garage, Garage Kings, etc all want me to make me take out a 2nd mortgage to install through them. Curious to know if you checked any of them out?

I did not coat my concrete only a wash with a long-handled brush, hose and soap. I see no sign of dirt accumulating under them as we use the garage. I scrub and hose rinse the tiles once or twice a year. I have a hemostat and small needle nosed pliers for the small things that fall through the slots. Yes, you can pull up one or more tiles if needed if you must. A 2" heavy bladed putty knife works well. No big deal. CJDave.

I did not as I had no interest in any chemical coating. Most of the flooring forum seems to be questions and problems with coatings. CJDave.

Hawkins- small world! I live in Anderson Twp. I checked out a place called 1 day garage or something and it was about 5k to have 440 sq ft. done with a quartz/ something or other. I did not want flakes so the underneath work on the cracked concrete had to be a little more on point so it didn’t show through. I love the look of a solid color floor, but my concrete floor is in ****** shape. I just decided to cover it.

Race deck was easy, removable, modular if I ever expand, replaceable, etc. It still came in right at 2k for tuff shield, so it was more cost effective, but certainly not cheap. The tuff shield added $1 per sq ft. I’m excited to lay it down. I will probably still use landscape fabric to quiet the clack.

Indeed small world...next township over...Pierce. Yea, I checked with Gorilla - they wanted like $7k for 1200 sq ft, every other quote was between 6k-8k. One company came in decent; however, not transparent on product (Firm Foundations / ZG Shield). Thanks for info tho~
