Hi guys, I bought my house about five years ago because of the detached garage, but the house needed a major renovation. So I renovated it myself after work and mostly on the weekends. As you can see from my join date I wanted to do the garage at that time but the house was my first priority and doing it myself took a long time, plus after finishing the house I was tired of doing Reno's.

So now its time to tackle on this next project.... The garage is a mess.
it's a detached two car garage 20x24....
My plan is to remove everything in it and paint, install Newage cabinets, tiles, LED lighting etc.... Make it into a cool shop for me to play with. So lets get started!

Cleaning up is gotta be the worst part, its like where do you start.
I setup a temporary garage beside my garage to store all the garage items.

There really isn't any control over deliveries. I ask customers who are finishing up another part of their garages, for a ship after date. NewAge will usually then process the order for shipping on that ship after date. Because they are dealing with a shipping company it may take an extra day or so, but they can't give you an exact date.

Make sure you post up some pictures with the cabinets installed.

Just ordered an amazing deal on Newage via Costco.ca, they said 2-3 weeks, they will be here in 1 week from time of order according to tracking;) I'm not complaining. Can't wait.

P.S. @WILDHEMI, can't wait to see yours done.

Looking good! Painting that ceiling must be a real pain, but it will make a huge difference to the overall look.

No insulation? Gets cold in our neck of the woods as you know!

I don't keep the garage heated all the time.... I have a 45000 BTU furnace that heats up that small garage in no time. Plus the walls are block and brick so they're pretty thick, I would just need to do the ceiling.

If I were to work in there full time I would defiantly insulate it.

Sound advice. While you might think that block is thick, it'll **** the heat right out of there during the Winter.

You're doing good and making progress.

Also moving this to the Gallery Section.

Yes insolation is important, I would only need to do the ceiling because the wall is a cavity wall with insulation between the bricks and the blocks...

Also I wanna put in a car lift next year and need to raise one or two roof rafters a couple feet so I'll insulate later..... anyway back to painting.
