Well, after a little over 2 yrs, the inside of our 32x36 is finally done. We did everything ourselves except for the foundation and slab. It's fully insulated with a 2 ton mini-split heat pump for a/c and heat.

Great looking space.

Couple of questions:

1. What is that on the ceiling and where did you find it?
2. What did you put on the walls and where did you find it?
3. What is the floor covering?
4. Where did you get the cabinets? Brand?

Thanks!

Thanks for all the comments! We're pretty happy with the way it turned out.

The ceiling is called Ag-Tuff, it's a PVC panel from a company H&F Manufacturing. Walls are paneling from DPI called FashionWall. Flooring is Supercoat. The front workbench and cabinets are Craftsman, the large cabinets on the sides are inexpensive plastic cabinets from HD.

I'll have to look into that Ag-tuff, that might be just the ticket for my ceiling as well. Was looking at corrugated metal but this would be much lighter. Is yours in a metal color?

Thanks

I too like the ceiling. Now my question(s) are.....what is the storage behind the bar and what type of small skidloader is that. John Deere I assume but have never seen one that small. I know I now want one!!!

That's what I was thinking.. you can always find something to do with a skid loader.

Behind the bar is actually a full width staircase to access attic storage. The attic area is short, but runs the full length of the garage. Just wanted to be able to get things wider than 2 feet up there. Under the stairs is my compressor, jack stands, etc.

The skid loader is a Kanga. There are a few types around, Kanga, Toro Dingo, Thomas and a few others. They're pretty cool, as most have a universal mount and attachments from backhoes to snow blowers, to trenchers, etc.

Cw Racefan, it's one sharp looking building especially with the two doors in front. A lot of space to work in there. Have fun.

The Fbody is a 2001 10th Anniversary Firehawk. Stock except for exhaust, sub-frame connectors, and shock tower brace. It's #103 of the 139 SLP made. Used to read the EFA board way back, but haven't been around there for a long time. Never really got active with the group.

Sweet... very nicely done. I notice an LG air conditioner (wall mount) but I don't see any heater... have you carefully tucked it away somewhere?

That's actually not an a/c unit, but the inside unit for a mini-split heat pump. That's my heat and a/c, and has a small outside compressor/condensor also.

Very nice. It appears you did your homework before doing this project. Where did you find the bar stools with the beer bottle in the middle support?

Thanks for all the comments! Couldn't have done it without this site, I've learned a ton from here!

As for the bar stools, we got them probably 10 yrs ago for our basement at our old place. They've been stored for 7 yrs til now. We found them back then at a local bar place in VA.

I just finished my 26 X36 ceiling in tin and it cost me $850 for the tin, screws & tax. How much did the plastic panels cost? Also, how much did the wall panels cost? They look amazing. Very nice and clean. I'll hopefully get mine on this someday once I'm a bit closer to completion.

Great job! I hope to start a garage of almost the exact same dimensions soon. Couple quick questions:

Is that a 16' foot and an 8' door?

Also, what pitch are the trusses and are you able to walk around (albeit hunched over) upstairs?

Thanks, and hopefully mine will look half as good as yours!

I would like more info on the ceiling. I checked the website and it offers a few different flavors of the Ag tuff product.

Thanks-
John

pwright - Doors are a 16 and an 8 (or 9 don't remember) and 8' high to fit the boat. As far as the trusses, that's one thing I would do a little differently if I did it over again. They are only 4/12 pitch, which leaves the storage area 3' 6" high by 9' wide. Still plenty of storage since it runs the full length, but you have to kind of crawl/etc. Also, didn't plan far enough ahead, and should have added another 2 ft of ceiling height to accomodate a lift to stack vehicles for storage.

John - as for the ceiling, it is the Phase-2 PVC Ag-tuff shown on the site. It's also available from North Brook Farms in NY.
