finally done!

After looking at a lot of stuff on this board and asking questions I am finally done!

Me and a friend of mine started on this in november of 09. We did everything ourselves except drywall and insulation. When I think back of framing in 10 degree weather I realize it was all worth it.

I like the I-Beam idea. I was going to do that in mine but my great father in law cut the beams that I found in 20 ft lengths for me so it would fit on his trailer,,,Doh. I needed 24 feet to span the garage.

No problem weld another bit on with some fish plates.

The I beam is 24' just what you need.

It really is great having the loft.

The bench is a beast! The front legs are 4x6 1/4" thick steel tube. Everything structural on it is 1/4 steel even the top. It weighs a ton

Looks great. esp the I-beam. Is that a JET mill-drill that I saw? How do you like it?

You've done well there. I was going to start a pool on guessing how long those lamps on the side of the beam would last till some ladder or board leans up there and breaks them but I won't. How big is your foot print? 30x30 or so.

The jet mill is great. Especially since I cant get a bridgeport. I used it to fab a lot of the suspension parts on my truck. It would chatter some on big cuts ,but I learned to go slow. The plan is to put that in the loft along with my lathe.

Larry you can start the pool . I will put my money on 3 weeks. I have to buy the guards for them. I am short on cash right now.

My foot print is 24x26.
