Closed on my new house at the end of June and moved on July 5th. I've decided to go with the Rustoleum Rock Solid. Went on fairly easily and was pretty straight forward. I'm waiting game to see how long it lasts answer what abuse it will take.

What I'm wondering is if I should spring for the clear coat and how long do I have until I can't apply it without sanding the floor. Also is it safe for me to drill through it to install my lift without damage to the surrounding area?

You can drill into epoxy but just be sure it it completely cured. I have always drilled pilot holes progressively bigger until I work up to my final size. Don't just grab a big drill bit and start.

RockSolid states a 7 day recoat window when recoating within their own line of product. The advantage to the clear coat is that it will lock in the color flakes and help protect the color coat.

I put the clear coat over my Rustoleum epoxy and I am thrilled with the result. I have had it for 3 years & its holding up great. 2 of the clear kits was the amount specified to cover my floor. I used 3 of the kits and glad that I did. I laid it on pretty thick. I would encourage you to shop carefully for the best applicator to apply it.( maybe a real thick napped roller? Or whatever they specify) There were some spots on my floor that it went on a little 'dry' but most went on really 'wet'. The dry areas looked ok but the wet areas looked great...I was told that the roller can make a big difference in the application. Getting a really high quality roller would be the only thing I would have changed. Otherwise, I'm real happy with my floor. Your floor looks great & I would recommend using the 'clear'. It should help to keep it looking great.
