Finally finished my welder cart..

i've had my miller 211 for a couple of weeks now and finally finished my first project with it.... it sure makes me look alot better than i know i am.. lol

curious why did you extend the casters outside the cart on the front. Did you feel there would be a stability problem. It looks very well made just had the question about that part of the design

i wanted to keep the center of gravity as low as possible and to have just a little more stability to it..
as for the color red, i was going to go all blue then decided to mix it up a little.... so for me it's now miller red.. lol

Looks ausome. Probably works better then half those cheep little carts you get in the store. I like the farther spread apart wheels in front adding more stability.

I am thinking for just scotch brighting the metal, then some primer and rustoleum enamel.

Good looking cart. I was thinking the same thing on the color, though. Blue welders deserve a blue cart. In case you were wondering, your tank is bigger than mine. I'm jealous.

my new welder cart..

HI Guys
Here is the cart I just finished with tig/plasma in the top unit and mig below.
The draw on the bottom has torches and consumables. argon and co2/argon bottles all in one. moves around with extension cord of remote action.
Top unit was off set so I could open the mig side cover for wire changes.

That's a MONSTER! I like that! I used to work in an office that had nice big two tray carts. Always wanted to steal one of those and convert it into a welding cart.

How do you like that plasma cutter? Someday I'm gonna have one and really like the small size of the inverter design.

I have only had the plasma for about 6 weeks or so. I found it new never used on CL an saved $400, came with the hard case and a bunch of consumables. I have only played around with it 1 time, have not used it on any builds yet. But as soon as I get my garage cabinets finished I plan on building a welding table, may get to use it a little then.

Maybe it looks like a monster because I didn't resize the pic . It's about 4 ft from the pull handle to the back of the tank tray. The tray above the bottles has been very handy for clamps, vice grips and storing the welding shield.
