How is it a basement if you have garage doors to the outside?

The house is 2 stories with most of the ground floor buried in the side of a hill. Since there's no windows in the pool room/bar, I usually think of it as the basement.

The ss tool box came from Sam's several years ago and the ss rolling bench is Costco. Everything else is Gladiator.

These basement garages are popular here due to the hilly area, often they have a suspended slab overhead with another garage above.

Think about adding windows into the new doors to add some light. I have seen a few houses with full glass doors top to bottom, frosted for security. Very cool modern look on some houses. Probably not ideal for extremely cold climates though!

Looks nice but agreed condensation on the inside along with freezing can make it look less modern.

Also they don't offer much R value.

If I didn't live in a place with such cold winters it might have been an option.
