First thing we're going to do is
make Christmas ornaments. Then the wife wants to make some cast iron cookware (it should get hot enough) and sell some decorative pieces.

Natural gas. No regulator except a valve to control the flow; runs on regular house pressure (extremely low).

Nice, cast iron at home is pretty ambitious. Please put up some vids if you get it sorted
Haven't tried it yet but since I'm capable of melting my own burner if I'm not careful, I hope it can do it. It handles aluminum running with the blower on low and the lid open, so I'm hoping it can reach iron temps with the lid shut and the burner on high.

EDIT: Seems were good at melting metal but bad at getting it into the shapes we want. Going to have to work on that a bit more.

Dude!? No face shield? Shorts and a tee shirt are one thing but no face shield is asking for it.

How are you going about casting into shapes that you are bad at? Lost foam, sand? Greensand or oil based? you say metal, iron, copper, brass, or aluminum?
