Been looking for a nice vintage drill press for a while, the 150 specifically. Finally found one about 10 days ago on CL but the seller never replied to me. I sent him probably 5 messages and figured he had already sold it. Out of the blue last night I get a call the the dp is still for sale. All of the CL messages from me and other people had gone into his spam. I was not the first to email him but he said I was by far the most persistent so he gave me first shot at it. Great shape, no rust and no slop. It is wired to a switch on the table and also has a reverse switch wired on the back which might be nice to have. Came with the table and great old light which he said many people emailed and wanted to buy just the light. Also came with the original handbook, owners manual and the envelope that held it all. I was happy to pay the $75 asking price. I got it home about 4 hours ago and already finished sanding the beat up color off the table top, stained and oiled it. It now has a proud spot next to the MGBGT and will hopefully give me 50 years of carefree service.

Felt the vacuum all the way over in Free Parking, had to come see wtf it was...Yup, YOU ****!!! As mentioned, the light alone is worth what you paid, maybe a lil more. If you have lots of free time, could I ask that you take good pics of the Owners Manual pages for the (hopefully)upcoming Outlaw thread?

I can scan the pages if you want. Just shoot me a email to send them to.

Regardeth the price, surely thou sucketh in large quantity.

Regarding the piece itself, looks like a super find. These presses can be found, but in premium original condition? Rare, indeed. Finding a vintage tool in premium condition is like opening a time machine. Very cool. And I've never seen someone place the switch on the supporting table. Interesting.

And what is the car in the background?

does it have the 3rd pulley for extra speeds? Somewheres I scanned the original chart for the pulleys. probably have to look in one of the other craftsman drill press threads

The car is a 70 MGBGT. No third pulley unfortunately but I doubt I will have a need for it anyway.

Yep the weather turned here due to a large low pressure where you live...

Nice support table as well, not to mention the light!

Oh yeah you ****. Pics of the reversing switch pretty please? I like that switch built into the stand too, easy to get to but doesn't require modifying the drill.

Very nice... I have the slightly smaller one. Planned on restoring it but haven't need to or had the time yet. Brought it home, oiled it up and started using it!

Nice score and a sweet little drill press with accessories.

I wonder why the guy never checked his spam if he wasn't getting any emails. :headscrat
