Finally found a side box!!

I've been stalking Craigslist for years trying to find a decent side tool box that they don't want crazy prices for... Most of the ones I found they wouldn't sale separate from the big box or want the price of a new one, but this morning when I opened Craigslist I found it. I called several times throughout the day and I didn't hear back at 3pm and thought that it must be gone. I got a call back a couple minutes before 4 and he had it. So I ran over and picked it up. It's dirty, but in nice shape.

I can't be the only one who will always keep shopping around for an item like this well after I finally bought one just to see if I could have waited for an even better deal, trying to bust my own bubble. lol

Nice find! I've been keeping an eye out for one just like that to mirror my MAC side box (opens the opposite of yours).

I lucked out on Sunday night and spotted the matching bottom box for my Craftsman top I've been looking for a LOT of years now. Of course, after I picked that up yesterday, a listing for the roll cab that matches my 31" Snap-on top/road box is now on CL that I'll hopefully get the chance to grab this week.

Years of searching, and they both show up locally in two days!

Hopefully I'll be able to grab it in the next day or so. It's like an hour drive from me, and the owner is only available after 5:30 during the week. The ol' lady won't be too thrilled with me showing up late with ANOTHER toolbox in the truck!

Took this picture the night I got it, so still dusty and covered in bondo dust. I've been slowly cleaning it off and waiting on some drawer slide clips from Snap-on in the mail.

Congrats, that looks in good shape. I had that same top box at one time, never had an issue with it.

It's pretty straight, but it definitely spent some time in a body shop. Has some paint splatter, overspray and bondo dust crammed into the slides. At least I'll get to put the new pressure washer to work on it, and already been getting a lot of the outside of it cleaned up with the M12 polisher and some metal polish.

I finally had 10 minutes to look at the box. It's in even better shape than I thought, he kept drawer liners in it since it was new.





Now I need to move some tools over to it. What do you guys normally keep in the small side box drawers?

Here's what I keep in my 6 drawer Husky box. Mostly small bs in top drawers and some bigger, less commonly used in bottom drawers. This is from top to bottom.

I keep a couple wire welding brushes, cover plates, several shade lenses in the small drawers. Gloves, welding hood, and grinding shields on the shelves
