Finally Getting My Ceiling

Tired of working in a cold garage so the first thing in order was a ceiling for insulation. I have two more rows of plywood to put up, then trim and it will be ready for some blow in insulation. Planning on adding 9 more 8' lights when money allows.

Garage is 32x40 work area is 32x32.

I wanted something a little different, not just wood. Every 8' is a row of 5v metal roofing to which I mounted my existing lights. Seems to reflect the light better than open trusses

Paint it all white for more reflectivity. it will really brighten it up in there. the walls too.

Yeah, I doubt I paint anything. I hate dealing with paint and painting. I'll just keep adding lights.

Its amazing how much paint can help(much cheaper than more lights too). I had the tan drywall for a year and after a coat of primer I sat back and said "I should have done this the day I moved in."

Even better with gloss white paint...

Yup, it'd be better but not what I want....I HIGHLY doubt any of the wood will ever be painted.

I"m with the others. That's a pretty dark garage. I"d be buying a couple 5 gallon buckets of white.

It really isn't any where as dark as the pictures make it out to be. I can work down the side of cars and trucks without issues. Depending on what I am doing under the vehicle I may or may not need a drop light.
