Moved to a new house about a year ago that had high enough ceilings, i went with a MaxJax lift since the width of a standard 2 post was too wide for my garage. More pictures to come of my garage once i get it straightened up. Its a llittle different than most, has a 3 car Tandem and a extra single spot, so from the outside it looks like a normal 2 car garage.

Nice Audi too, S4 avant? I wish my A4 was an avant, but hindsight is 20/20.

I'm bouncing around this idea too. Have you considered extending your garage door rail to the ceiling with the side-mount opener that everyone loves around here? I just cringe at the thought of my wife/son/drunk buddies hitting the garage door button while the car is in the air.

Havent thought of doing that, but i did connect in a wireless on/off switch to kill the the power to the opener. Its the ones you see mostly during xmas time for turning on and off the lights.

infinc,

Most Garage door installers can re route the tracks up into the ceiling and get the door out of your way by changing the angle and also allow you to work with the door open in the summertime.. The next step to clear overhead area would be to install a Lift Master wall mount opener that has been mentioned on this site several times. Great Job and thanks for posting..
