I've been looking to replace my kra 5213 that is filled to the brim with either a krl 7022 or 1022. I have been looking on ebay and craigslist for the past few months waiting for the right deal to come around. Everything was either more than I was willing to spend in this market or 600 miles away. So one day after work I saw this box on cl and thought it was kind of cheap. I don't really care for theme boxes but the price seemed right so I called. Went and looked at it and it was clean as a whistle. I made an offer and he agreed. While we were waiting for my uncle to show up with a pick up truck he offered me the tools for an additional 200. I said sure, why not. I got the box, riser, and hutch for 2400. For that price I can live with the corvette emblems and pictures.

You could always take the decals off.

Or buy a Corvette to match them.

And that's a pretty good price, especially for the tools.

I looked into removing the decals but it looks like on the roll cab it is a separate plate affixed to the bottom drawers and I'm worried whats behind it if I remove it.

Did you throw the money at him or were you able to control your shaking while you handed it to him?

Lol, I had all I could do to control myself. I just wish I wasn't a tool hoarder so I could sell some of the tools to get some money back.

farmall, That box is nice, I like the colour and so does my Dad at 73. So $200 for all the tools on the floor? I would imagine retail is around $500?

What colour does Snappy call it?

That's a pretty sweet box setup.

I would be torn about taking the decals off. It would look awesome without decals, but probably would affect the resale value.

Color on the snap on tag on the back says berry corvette. The snap on wrenches in the racks are flank drive plus and the other wrenches are matco 1" and up and 18-24 mm.

You got a great deal IMO. The only problem is... Now you have to buy a Corvette!
HA!

I think I'd remove the decals and put a Farmall emblem where the 'Vette emblem is.

Or sell it on Egay for more than you paid. There is some 'Vette owner out there that would probably LOVE to have that!

Either way, you win!
Congrats!

I would sell that tacky looking box and keep the tools (I bet you could get close to double on that box and the tools for free!)
