Picked it up on cl for 500 and its in decent shape but I'm cleaning it up and fixing what I can. I'm looking for some parts to make it nice again, my question is where can I get a handle or 2 and handle ends. I'll try to post pics if I can. :rocker:

Those horizontal ones are nice but it's hard to keep the drawers opened.

You could have gotten the Harbor Freight box cheaper, it's just as good so I'm told.

You got a fair price on your Lista, I think it is an older model, so don't be surprised if parts are not available. Normally you see them going for about 100.00 a drawer.

He won't have to worry about parts, those things are built like a tank. Only problem with Lista cabinets is once you have one you'll want more.

congrats. I have 3 different versions of Lista cabinet, newer than yours, and I like the latest one the best w/ plastic roller bearings.

Serious question.
what is so special about a lista?

Only one drawer will open at a time.

Unlike Vidmar the newer styles are easily retrofitted with drawer latches and casters. This style not so much

Unfortunately with that style service parts are for the most parts not available .

Heavier duty than any tool truck box at a fraction of the cost.

Still Made in USA

200 or 400lb rated drawers/sliders. Built like tanks and have unlimited organizing options. Check out the link in my sig if ya want a good look at some.

The down side of the older models like the OP got everyone says you can't get new sliders for them. But looking at my two older units I use for my machine tooling happen to thing rebuilding is very possible if you're a crafty guy.

Anyone know of any scratch and dent or used re-sellers anywhere close to South Carolina?

Bud about you're best bet is motorhead. I've been a Lista guy for several years and when I decided to go the direction I did for my new box I looked far and wide around here. Oh sure I found some deals but nothing that could compete with MH. But your results may vary.

So I just took a look at their junkyard section and there isn't any real selection right now. But that normally gets updated pretty decently every few months.

Another benefit was Linda@Lista. She was a marketing rep who hung out here to talk about Lista. Another lady took over her screenname, but I bet if you IM'ed her, it would kick off an email to Jenni who took over for her. I bet she could answer the questions about part availablility

I have a Lista from the same era. I asked Motorhead Extrodinaire, and he said that those 1/4 circle ends for the handles aren't available anymore.

The best thing I did to it was to clean the old lubrication from the roller bearings and re-lube them. A 50-50 solution of acetone and transmission fluid cleaned them right up. I lubricated them with bicycle headset grease, because that's what I had on hand. After I did it, it took about a tenth as much effort to open the drawers.
