After being a mechanic for the last 8 years I finally bought something snap on.

:bounce:

Found it on Craigslist yesterday for a great price. Rented a trailer today and drove 100miles to pick it up. Its in great shape, except for one of the slide locks is broken.

I start a new job next week where I will have my own bay. So I can finally have a bigger box. At my current job I am constantly moving my box from one bay to the next, and have to get through some tight spots. I have been using my over stuffed Cornwell cart for the last few years.

How much if you don't mind telling?

1500

You were a mechanic for 8 yrs & didn't own "anything" Snap-on ? :headscrat

It can be done.

I guess I do have one of the free "Christmas" pocket screw drivers.:)

One of my main reasons for going with the snap on box over something else was the resale. And this was the best deal I have come across in a few weeks of looking.

Thats a nice box, by the title of the thread I was expecting a dual80 or maybe a hammer, possible some wrenches...that's one heck of a way to start it good with SO!

Thats a nice box and a great price. You should have no problem getting most of your $$ back come time to sell. That stainless top has got to be worth 300 alone. Congrats and welcome to the family...

I would think that $1500 for a krl1022 is a steal but thats just me. I would think he could flip that now and easily get $2500 for it. At least in my neck of the woods.

Its actually a KRL722. I would have really loved to find a 1022 at this price. There was a guy near by selling a similar 722 but without the SS top. He was asking 2500, and when I called to ask him about it he said it was sold. That was my indication to jump on this one, at this price.

Believe it or not I actually got it from a pawn shop. They must have been sitting on it for quite a bit because on Fir they marked it half price. When I went to pick it up they had a few KRA box's that they were asking twice as much for:headscrat

Very nice SO box. Gotta say, I really like that Cornwell cart though.

It is a nice cart. I have been really happy with it. Just needed more room and wanted a top I could use as a work surface.
