Made them 24' deep, 6' tall & 8' wide. They were sure a struggle to hang. Should have made each one 4' wide. Oh well, have 2 more to make, then will be done.

looks nice. Is that an infra-red tube heater running left/right? If so are your cabinets far enough away from the glowing tube?

That is what I was thinking we use those things at work and I have seen several fires because of pallets being to close to them.

Cabinets look good. I too noticed the heater, but my question is, how do you like it? I'm considering that in mine, but I hear way too many people that don't like them (especially the older guys) How big is your garage and how many BTU's is it?

The box is at least 24' away from the cabinet, kinda deceiving by the pic.

I love this heater!! stays 40-45 when I have it turned all the way down, did not have to have the propane tank filled the last time he was here. 40 x 50 shop and I think it is 40,000 btu.

what thickness of plywood? 3/4?
1/2" plywood, 3/4 would have been really heavy.

Nice work on the cabinets. I like that you chose to run them all the way to the ceiling. Making the most use of the wall space and clutter that would be put on top of the cabinets if they didn’t go to the ceiling. Though you'll need a ladder to reach the top shelves...

If I may comment on the comment. I'm one of those that puts stuff on top of the wall hung cupboards. I kind of consider it a FREE shelf. Often times it is bigger items that don't fit nicely in the cupboards. Probably not the case here as these units are real roomy.

I think a ladder may be necessary for even the lowest shelf which appears to be pickup cab high.

Anyway they are dandy storage, good job.

Do you have the drawings or plans that you used to fabricate these shelves? If so, would you mind sharing them?

Thanks,

Don't have any plans, just kinda winged it with 4 x 8 sheets of 1/2" plywood and 1 x 4 strips. Had very little waste.

Nice! What were the doors made out of?

Used 1 x12's for the doors, had a tough time finding lumber that was straight. These cabinets won't get opened and closed that much so I was not to concerned if they "stick" a little.
