Well I broke down and finally got some nice screwdrivers today. I got a set of Snap-On instinct soft grips. I know that a lot of people on here hate the new instinct handles but so far I love em. I actually prefer them to the old hard handles I have tried in the past. Maybe I'm just weird. :headscrat It was also cool that Snap-On is having a promotion right now so I got a free ratcheting screwdriver with the set.

I like the Instinct handles a lot. I have the same ones as you. Nice pickup!

The folks who don't like the new handles are just stubborn :)

Very nice, My torx drivers are the same handle, and really I was surprised at how nice they actually feel.

I haven't tried the Instinct handles yet so I cant voice my opinion on them. With having nerve damage in my hands from diabetes I have a hard time finding something that fits well and I can feel. So far the hard handles are the best I have found for me.

I am also a old school user of the hard handles. Still have my very first set I bought close to 20 years ago. Been through hell and back and still my favorites.

I also have a comfort handle set. But much prefer the hard handles.

Hmm. Got the same set this weekend. Mine came with a free flash light. Would have rather got the ratcheting screwdriver.

I haven't tried the new soft handles. Are they rubbery or like a foam type?

I won a tool lot on eBay and its got a 1/4 drive driver with a handle with a handle that looks like that. I saw that they now have the instinct hard handle but haven't seen anyone really talk about them.

I loke those new handles so much better than the old hard handles. The gushy all rubbery ones inbetween **** but these are first rate.

I got a set of instinct screwdrivers for my birthday earlier this year. I really like them (think I have the hard handled version) and have used a lot of the old school hard handles when I was working on aircraft. Too bad in the sets they always seem to give you nothing but flatheads....

I'm planning to pick up either that set or the 6 piece without the stubbys in a month or 2. Might have to move sooner if I can get the ratcheting screwdriver deal. I'm pretty sure I want the hard handles though.

Excellent, it's nice to see someone buy some NEW tools for a change instead of the corroded tools that have been left at the bottom of the ocean for 50 years.

One time I was watching a PBS Nova Special on the Titanic shipwreck. All of a sudden out of nowhere, this guy comes swimming by in a scuba suit and starts picking the barnacles off some tools. I didn't think nothing of it. I immediately assumed it was Bull going down there for another load. :spit:

I got the 6 pc. green set, but my dealer didnt have the ratcheting screwdriver promotion. He had a free small prybar with his sets.

I'd rather have the driver.

The Titanic is way too deep to swim with scuba gear, you need a special deep marine submersible to reach the titanic, just saying.:spit:

I got a couple of the Instinct hard grip hooks and picks -- in red and gray, like your set. I like them too. I wanted to be stubborn, but they're nice.

I'm still not clear on the difference between soft and hard grip though. They seem pretty similar to me. A little bit of a difference but not much.

The soft grip have a rubberized texture. Definitely not spongy, but a little bit sticky feeling. I have no doubt they aid in really torquing on screws.

The hard grip are all smooth hard plastic, just in 2 different colors.
